Winter fun in the Zillertal

Head out into the snow!

Fresh snow and a white winter wonderland as far as the eye can see. This wintry paradise can be  enjoyed in a variety of ways - for example on a cleared winter hiking path, with ice skating, on an adventurous snowshoe hike, or with popular winter classics!

Tobogganing

What would winter be without a fun toboggan ride? Around Logenplatz Zillertal, you will find two toboggan runs that promise tons of fun! Above Hippach is the Brindlingalm, which can be reached via the Zillertaler Höhenstraße. Awaiting you here is a 2.5 km long natural toboggan run and an opportunity to enjoy refreshments.

The real Mecca for tobogganing is the Gerlosstein toboggan run: with a length of 7 km and a 700 m difference in altitude, it is the longest natural toboggan run in the Zillertal! The route is floodlit until 1 am, and sleds can be rented on-site. Along the way are two inns that offer refreshments. The start of the run is located right at the summit station of the Gerlosstein lift.

Cross-country skiing

Around Ramsau, cross-country skiers will find an excellent selection of the best prepared cross-country trails, some of which are floodlit until 10 pm. For our guests, we recommend the nearby Ramsau trail with a length of 2 km and an easy difficulty level. The Schwendau trail is a 3.5 km long route that is ideally suited for advanced cross-country skiers. If you are looking for more extensive training opportunities, you can try the Burgschrofen marathon trail with a length of 4.3 km.
